ODE TO THE SEA
The ocean is our playground and we do our best to celebrate its bounty. We strive to pay homage to the sea with every dish we craft.
We firmly believe that food is a vehicle for emotions, a story to savor and at its best, an adventure to be lived.
An adventure to be shared. At Ikanos, we believe in a Mediterranean family-style approach to dining. A night out at Ikanos is designed to be a convivial affair, ‘sharing is caring’ is one of our guiding principles and our food is plated with this in mind.

PRIVATE IMPORT LICENSE
In an effort to offer exceptional products to our guests, we’ve recently acquired our very own private import licence for fish and seafood. At Ikanos you can expect to discover unique products from both local waters and the most famous seafood hotbeds from around the world. Products from the Caspian Sea, the Scottish North Sea, Brittany, Japan, the Bay of Biscay and of course many different pockets of the Mediterranean Sea all have a home on our menu at various times of the year.
At Ikanos, we also do our utmost to reduce our carbon footprint as best we can. We encourage local agriculture and have invested in our very own garden in Hemmingford. All our sides and the vegetables on our plates were either locally sourced or grown ourselves. Moreover, our garden is certified Écocert which encourages biodiversity through the planting of ancestral varieties of everyday produce we know and love. A boon for our kitchen staff as well, they love rediscovering the flavours these forgotten varieties provide. We hope you do too!
